In between two snow storms, we set out for a brief escape to San Francisco. We nestled in the heart of Chinatown around the corner from a vegetable and fish stands, right outside a cable car line, in the comfort of new and childhood friends. We spent our days walking from Chinatown to SFMOMA, taking photographs and videos of the rich streets that surrounded us, and visiting various friends.

Because of the lovely friends that welcomed us on this trip, I relish the details of this trip. The laughter of friends of a friend that warmed a small kitchen,  the narrow dim sum takeout counter, the sunflowers in wine vases by the window, the harsh wind at Batteries to Bluffs, and the rain outside of Trader Joe’s. •
